society for neuroscience meeting - day 1

kinda hot, but not really.

after a long 12 hour drive that began in the twilight hours of saturday morning, dr. joe desouza, my trusty roomie alexandria and our compatriot scott munro embarked on an adventure to washington dc. after some intense trivial pursuit competitions, stops in pennsylvania for (terrible) lunch, we arrived at last at our accommodations in dc.

this is the closest i've come to pittsburgh- starbucks in ridge-something....

                                                        livin' large, takin' charge
i'm excited to present my poster tomorrow (GG25 from 2-3pm in Hall A-C if you'd like to come by and say hi!!!), and a few talks I hope to make in the morning (8-8:15: Visuotactile & visuomotor integration in 147B), and a very cool special lecture on the neural circuitry of fear (10-11:10am, Hall D).

also check out my friend adrian bartlett's poster at MM11 from 1-4, and aaron kucyi's (Twitter @neuroperson) nanosymposium talk from 1:30-1:45 in room 201 (sorry for not mentioning their areas, but adrian does LFP work, and aaron is just super cool).

until next time, fellow neurobloggers... time to go find a bite to eat in dc! :) feel free to leave comments and replies about your presentations so i can check 'em out and maybe feature them on the blog for others to see.
